2D/3D Razzle, 2026 

Razzle is a series of cyanotypes on cotton vellum, pleated into softly glowing sculptural forms. They are a hybrid of print, concertina, and frieze that generate angular shapes and shadows like World War I-era dazzle camouflage for ships, or razzle dazzle as it was known in the US. Though its efficacy at the time was disputed, it has recently been revived by the Russian military to thwart machine vision used by drones, resisting surveillance while introducing false information into datasets. Razzle dazzle can also refer to visual trickery in general. While visibility increases with this technique, a layer of uncertainty about the subject matter is created.
